Ministries and organizations for parish adults to form friendships and to offer positive support thru fitness and activities and gatherings.

This ministry provides opportunities for sports and related activities in the parish. We encourage friendships thru fitness and fun. The Community Life contact is Deb Faraci @ 669-9220 Ext. 1006.
 


ADULT CO-ED VOLLEYBALL:
Meets in the Activity Center on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM. You are welcome whenever you can join us. The games are played for friendship and fun.

BASKETBALL FOR MEN:
Takes place in the Activity Center on Monday evenings at 8:00 PM. Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to join us.

Also available is participation in Hudsonville Community Softball teams (mens and co-ed), golf leagues (mens and couples) and 3 on 3 basketball. Sign-up notices are in the bulletin before the seasons begin. For more information - contact the parish office.
 


NURSERY:
Our nursery provides a safe and protected environment for infants and toddlers during the 9:00 and 11:00 AM masses. The co-op systems works on a rotating year round schedule. Adult caregivers are needed (you do not have to use this service, to volunteer) also teen volunteers are welcomed. For more information, contact the parish office.
 


WOMEN’S MINISTRY:
Sue Grabowski, coordinator. All adult women are invited to join us at any of our meetings on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM. We enjoy fellowship, speakers, craft and game time and other outside activities. We also sponsor some special events. Upcoming gatherings are published in the bulletin. SUNDAY HOSPITALITY:
Gloria Brander, coordinator. This ministry provides a welcoming hospitality for our faith community visitors. Each Sunday after the 9:00 and 11:00 AM masses, we offer coffee, juice and donuts. This enjoyable time is for relaxing and visiting with one another, a time to meet new friends and develop stronger parish relationships. Adults or families are needed to prepare coffee and juice before the masses and to serve the refreshments after the masses.

Scheduling is on a rotating year round basis.
 


HOLY “READ”EEMERS BOOK CLUB:
Lesa Dion, coordinator. Any adults who enjoy reading and would like to participate in this discussion group are welcome to attend at anytime.

We meet on the 4th Monday of each month in the Window Room. Our members choose the books that we read. The bulletin lists our book choice which are usually ordered at reduced prices. For more information - contact Lesa Dion at 669-5381
 


WELCOME MINISTRY:  Our main focus is to meet with new parishioners to welcome them to our community.  Every two months, during mass, we introduce “new members”.  Training is provided for those who are willing to meet new people, introduce them to others and help with their involvement in parish life.  This is a vital and important ministry, to join or for more information, call the parish office.
 


THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS:  K of C Grand Knight, Bob Luxford. This Catholic men’s organization promotes involvement in church, family, youth and community.  Our council is very active with works of charity, patriotism, spiritual and social functions.  Contact Bob Luxford at 662-2640.
 


50+ GROUP:  This ministry gathers together the young at heart who happen to be over the age of 50.  They meet for fellowship at monthly breakfast, potluck dinners, game days and other activities.  All parishioners are very welcome to join us anytime.  There are no dues.  Mass and breakfast - we gather for morning mass at 8:45 AM and then enjoy breakfast at an area restaurant on the first Wednesday of the month.  Potluck Dinner - we gather for our meeting and a shared meal on the 2nd Thursday of the month.  Game Days - we meet in the Fireplace Room on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1:00-4:00 PM.  We play a variety of board and card games.  New games and players are always welcome.  Refer to the bulletin for calendar reminders and notices of upcoming special events.  For more information - contact Chris Olszewski at 662-3621.
 


KITCHEN COORDINATOR:  This position keeps the kitchen cleaned and organized.  Each Monday, a few hours are required to put dishes away from the Sunday Hospitality and to check for needed coffee and paper supplies.  Occasional shopping to replenish items and organize them is needed.  For more information, contact Deb Faraci at 669-9220 Extension 1006.
