SUNDAY
SCHOOL -
Holy Redeemer Parish is able to
provide a Sunday school program for children age 3 through
Kindergarten during the 9:00 and 11:00 AM Mass. This
program is designed to acquaint the young child with God’s
love for him/her and the unique gifts God gives each person.
Our
program includes: playtime, song, prayer and the Gospel of
the day. The purpose is to introduce children to liturgy
and foster community among our youngest parishioners.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD
–
This
ministry is offered during the Sunday 9:00 and 11:00 AM Mass

parents through the greeting and opening prayers. Children
wishing to participate are called forward, dismissed, and
process to the Window Room. The leader reads the Scripture

God’s word in their lives, and leads them in prayer.

YOUTH MINISTRY |
|
Our Youth
Ministry Program provides an avenue for youth to become
active in the parish, to feel they can be and are a vital
part of this parish, and to help make our youth more visible
in Parish Life.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of Youth Ministry is to
provide opportunities for our youth to become more aware of
who they are as Catholics, learn how they can actively be
disciples of Christ, deepen their relationship with their
God, and bring the Gospel message to others.
This is
done through the various components of Youth Ministry that
fall into the general areas of Service, Community Life,
Faith Formation, and Spiritual experiences.

|
SERVICE:
Since part of the
Christian lifestyle is service to others, junior high school
students are offered various opportunities to show Christian
charity. All students are strongly encouraged to take part
in these worthwhile projects such as Degage, mission trips,
community and church opportunities. Participation in these
events can also be counted toward school service hours and
NHS hours.

FAITH
FORMATION:
The need to increase our knowledge of
God and our religion is a lifelong process. Through
our faith formation we help young people enrich and expand
their understanding of Scripture, sacred tradition, and the
knowledge of the Catholic Church. Our goal is to make
their faith be alive and applicable to their lives today.

SPIRITUAL/RETREATS:
Research shows that retreats are
one of the most effective ways to minister to youth and
often their favorite part of the Youth Ministry program. A
number of prayer and retreat opportunities are offered for
senior high and junior high youth.

MEN OF
EMMAUS is a community of Christian men who are trying to
identify the man of Jesus Christ and to model their lives
after him. As our Holy Redeemer revealed himself to the two
disciples on their journey from Jerusalem to Emmaus (Luke
24:13-35), the Men of Emmaus was formed to provide the men
of our community an opportunity to gather in a non-judgment
and confidential environment with other men to foster
friendships, both socially and spiritually, enabling them
the opportunity to become more “Godly” men within their
family structures, workplace, and social circles. Men of
the parish meet on a weekly basis at different times based
on their schedule. The Men of Emmaus also host
Breakfast/Presentations over the course of year.
|
|
WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
gathers on Tuesday mornings during the school year. This is
a wonderful opportunity to join with others to study and
reflect on Sacred Scripture while offering support to one
another as Christian woman living in our world. Childcare
is provided.
