To ensure that the beliefs of our faith are introduced and reinforced for the youth people as they grow, develop, and mature as Catholics the Faith First curriculum has been chosen. The Faith First scope and sequence is a sprial approach to learning our Catholic faith. The four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church - Creed, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer are taught and developed on every grade level every year. This means that each year the catechist will build upon and reinforce what children have learned previously in other grades.
The focus of the 6th grade year will be on the Old Testament. Because the foundations of our fiath our rooted in these traditions we will be "Digging into God's Word." Practical hands on experiences invite the young person to become familier with the stories and struggles to live as a people committed to the Covenent.
Social and service opportunities are offered througout the year so that we may learn to put our words into actions.
