Altar Linens

Wash and iron corporals and purificators and wash hand towels used at our liturgies.

Altar Servers

Serve at the weekend liturgies and special holy day liturgies.

As a server you would be placed on a rotating schedule at the liturgy that you request. Open to all who are in the 4th grade and older. Initial training will occur at an appointed time with occasional enrichment sessions.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Baptism Greeters

Welcome and greet people as they gather for Baptisms.

Greeters are responsible for the specific needs of the faith community before, during, and after each baptism: assisting with the seating of people, handing out prayer aides and any other needs that might arise. Two hours on the day of baptism on Sundays, once every other month. Qualifications include a willingness to be “community” to families celebrating Baptism. Initial training will occur at an appointed time.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Eucharistic Ministers

Assist in distribution of Holy Communion with reverence and dignity at parish liturgies.

As a Eucharistic Minister you would be placed on a rotating schedule at the liturgy time that you request. Open to all who are fully initiated and are 16 years of age or older. Initial training will occur at an appointed time with occasional enrichment sessions.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Exposition Of The Blessed Sacrament

Spending time in prayer and spiritual reflection in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

One hour a week on Wednesdays between 7:00-8:00 PM. Qualifications inclued a person of prayer. One time meeting for initial training.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Facilitators

Ensures that the worship experience runs smoothly through the coordination and continuity of the various ministries involved with weekend liturgies.

Facilitators are placed on a schedule at the liturgy that you request. Qualifications include fully initiated adults with liturgical knowledge as well as some knowledge of our facilities. Initial training will occur at an appointed time with occasional enrichment sessions.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Lectors

Proclaiming the Word of God at weekend liturgies and special holy day liturgies.

As a lector you would be placed on a rotating schedule at the liturgy that you request. Initial training will occur at an appointed time with occasional enrichment sessions. In addition, you would take time on your own preparing to proclaim the Word each time you are scheduled. Qualifications are those who are fully initiated and are 8th grade and older.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Nursing Home Eucharistic Ministers

Committed to bringing the Word, Eucharist, and the Love of the Lord to the residents of nursing homes in Jenison, Hudsonville, and Allendale.

Sundays on a rotating schedule. Qualifications include prayerful adults who enjoy serving residents in a nursing home environment. Eucharistic Minister qualifications and training.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Sacristans

Care of items that are used in conjunction with liturgy and worship space.

Once a week – can be set up on a rotating schedule. Qualifications are ability to work independently. Initial training session at onset.  Contact Rhonda Lomonaco if you have an interest in this ministry.

Ushers

Welcomes and greets the people as they gather.

Ushers are responsible for the specific needs of the faith community before, during, and after each liturgy, assisting with the seating of people, the collection baskets, and the procession of the communion process. As an usher you would be placed on a rotating schedule at the liturgy that you request. Great opportunity for individuals and/or families, 16 years old or older.
